Swara Bhasker says ‘the scrutiny Alia Bhatt and Karan Johar are facing is completely UNFAIR’

Recently, Kangana Ranaut’s interview with Republic TV has created a lot of talk in the town. Kangana gave her opinions on many topics like the sad demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, nepotism and favouritism. In the interview, she also called actresses Swara Bhasker and Taapsee Pannu as “B grade actresses” and asked them to stop supporting movie mafias like Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt.

This comment came after the Tweet by Swara Bhasker where she wrote that blaming Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt for Sushant’s death was insensitive.

Now, after Kangana’s comments, Swara addressed the same in her recent interview with Bombay Times. Giving her views on the scrutiny Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt have been facing, she said it is completely unfair. She says it is not correct to blame people for murder or suicide where accusations are thrown so randomly. She quoted “Karan and Alia are not my personal friends, I know them only socially. I have never worked with Dharma, I have never been invited to Karan’s parties and I’ve never been on ‘Koffee With Karan’. Many of us who are active in the industry hasn’t. Maybe some of us feel left out. Does that make Karan a murderer? So Alia gave a flippant answer to a silly game on a frivolous chat show. Does that make her a murderess?”

These conversations have aroused after Sushant Singh Rajput’s death was blamed to big names of Bollywood. Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt were called out as people thought they treated Sushant badly.

For the uninformed, in an episode of Koffee With Karan, Alia Bhatt asked: “Who’s Sushant?” Also, Karan Johar decided not to release his movie with Sushant ‘Drive’ in the theatres but took it directly to Netflix which caused a conflict between Karan and Sushant.
