The nation has been shaken to its core once again after the case of Hathras Gang Rape has made it to the news bulletin. Series of protests are going on around the nation against the injustice faced by the victim’s family. However, the National Commission for Women has issued several notices to actress Swara Bhasker and two other individuals for revealing the identity of the victim of the Hathras Gang Rape incident. The other two to whom the notices have been issued are identified as Congress Leader Digvijaya Singh, BJP IT Cell Cheif Amit Malviya and has ordered all three of them to immediately remove the posts from their social media platforms.
Via the official Twitter account, the NCW has posted a tweet which reads, “@NCWIndia has served notices to @amitmalviya @digvijaya_28 & @ReallySwara seeking explanation on their #Twitter posts revealing the identity of the #Hathras vicitm along with a direction to remove these posts immediately & to refrain from sharing such posts in future @sharmarekha.”

NCW has also mentioned that along with issuing the notices, they have also demanded explanations for the posts made by all three of them on their respective social media platforms. The NCW has ordered them to refrain from making such posts in the future. This came after a post was made by Amit Malviya on Friday, where he tweeted a 48-second video where the woman could be seen lying on the ground, her face clearly visible but is now deleted. Actor Swara Bhasker’s tweet saw her along with others holding some placards which carrying the photograph of the victim, in a protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, which is now deleted as well. Congress leader Singh’s tweet is also no longer available.
