Actor Sushant Singh Rajput, 34 left for his heavenly abode on 14th June. Sushant took his life at his Carter Road apartment by hanging himself to the ceiling fan of his Mumbai apartment. Actor’s untimely demise has ignited debates and brawls and has left all of us in shock and with grief.
Bandra Police is investigating the case and is leaving no stone unturned. Bandra Police have been interrogating people related to the late actor every day. The cops recording their statements and also investigating actor’s film contracts. On Friday, Bandra Police questioned former YRF (Yash Raj Films) senior officials Ashish Singh, former Vice President Production at YRF, and Ashish Patil, who was also associated with YRF earlier. They were the two signatories on the contract that Sushant Singh Rajput had signed with YRF in 2012.
Police sources stated that statement of Ashish Singh was recorded for around 5 hours and he provided details of the contract and also shared related to Sushant’s association with YRF till 2015.
In one of his interactions with India Today, Ashish was asked about the details of contract and Sushant’s exit from YRF to which Ashish said, “I cannot divulge details of the contract as it is mentioned in the contract itself”. He added “The parting was on very cordial terms and we had been in touch after that. We made two films. Some projects, some films don’t work out. He had left YRF five years back and even after that we were in touch. There were no issues. We should pray for him.”
Police has recorded statements of 25 people including Ashish Singh and Ashish Patil. The list includes Rhea Chakraborty and publicist Rohini Iyer too. Rohini recorded her statement on Monday.
Statements from Sushant Singh Rajput’s family might be recorded again, as initially the family was in state of shock. Recently Patna Police recorded statement of Sushant Singh Rajput’s father in Patna.
