Sushant Singh Rajput Case: After Sanjana Sanghi, director Shekhar Kapur called for interrogation

Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise had a large impact on the industry as well as his fans. Many celebrities were summoned by Police to record their statement.  Few days ago, Sushant’s co-star in ‘Dil Bechara’, Sanjana Sanghi recorded her statement. It is said that the interrogation went on for around seven hours.

Now, the reports says that Director Shekhar Kapur was called to record his statement on the case. Post Sushant’s demise, Kapur took to Twitter to express his grief and talk about how he should have been there for him. Check out the Tweet.

Sushant was supposed to work with Kapur in “Paani”, which was later taken by YRF films. The Police is also looking at the angle of professional rivalry which is why they are scanning his contract with YRF. A police officer said, “We have recorded a number of statements in this regard. We also have the contract copy of Yash Raj films and the signatories’ statements have also been recorded. Now we want to know what Shekhar Kapur wants to share,” a Filmfare report revealed.

Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide in his Bandra Apartment on June 14. This shocking news was followed by outrageous fans demanding to know more about the potential reasons for his death. The conversation around nepotism started fire and took down many star kids with it. Mumbai Police has interrogated around 28 people including rumoured girlfriend Rhea Chakaraborty, his close friends, house help staff as well as YRF’s casting director among other people.
