Do you recall in the 2018 movie Stree when Rajkummar Rao who portrayed the character of Vicky was forced to look at the eyes of a witch? The climax scene in the movie was full on comedy and there was a touch of Shah Rukh Khan too. Those who have watched the original will know how the Stree actor had imitated SRK while making eye contact with the villain. In a conversation with Times of India, Rajkummar said that he had mimicked King Khan’s expressions while shooting for the climax sequence in Stree.
During the latest interaction with Raj Shamani on YouTube, Rajkummar mentioned that, every time the actor is on board with the writers, he beseeches them to create a ‘playground’ for him. Referring to an example of climax scene of Stree, the actor said it was like a ‘playground’ for him that Stree was standing in front of him. Even though his character is a wuss and gets frightened upon the witch’s appearance, he is requested to gaze into her eyes with affection.
Rajkummar being a great admirer of SRK, added that men in our country always recall the love icon, King Khan. He added that he did not know how the shoot was going to turn out as he “improvised” the scene while miming the facial expression of the superstar. Further, the actor in Stree 2 said this is depicted as a man named Vicky right from a small town who had watched films in his childhood.
“Toh wahan pe maine improvise kiya (I improvised it there), which people cracked up laughing. In theaters, people were going nuts over that scene. It’s an improvised scene,” revealed Rajkummar.
Stree 2 was released in theatres on August 15 and since then it has been creating waves at the box office, crossing mark of Rs. 300 crore.
