Sources reveal exact day when Kate Middleton and Prince William found out about her cancer diagnosis

Princess Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis was revealed to the royal family in late February, which is why Prince Williams had to miss the memorial service honoring his godfather, as per the reports by Us Weekly, citing sources.

“Kate went in for abdominal surgery and then they found out she had cancer,” a source tells Us on Friday. “The day the family found out was the day William canceled going to the memorial of his godfather King Constantine of Greece.”

The members of the royal family were scheduled to attend the memorial service at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor, on February 27, for Constantine, who passed away in January 2023. However, Kensington Palace released a last minute statement revealing that Prince won’t be able to make it due to a “personal matter.”

Questions about Kate’s health were swirling since she underwent the abdominal surgery in the early of this year, post which she has remained absent from the public eye. On Friday, the Princess of Wales issued a video statement announcing her diagnosis with cancer.
