Social Media is in turmoil since Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise and debates over ‘nepotism’, ‘bullying by biggies’ are reignited. In this row, we have seen how celebrities are deactivating their social media accounts to stay away from negative vibes and useless trolling by faceless people. After Dhadak director Shashank Khaitan, Sonakshi Sinha, Aayush Sharma, Saqib Saleem and others took off from micro-blogging site.
Recently, Dabangg star Sonakshi Sinha took to her Instagram account to take a jibe on trolls by showing how easily, just with a snap of a finger, she disappeared from twitter and away from their baseless bullying and trolling.
In the video, we can see Sonakshi on the screen and within seconds of snapping a finger, she disappeared. Along with the video, she also wrote a lengthy note slamming the trolls and captioned, “ Sonakshi wrote a lengthy caption slamming the trolls. She wrote, “How i got myself off twitter and away from the negativity Some people are celebrating like they won something… im happy for you, tumhe laga raha hai na… lagne do, kisi ko koi farak nahi padh raha. But lets face it, ive cut the direct source of insult and abuse in my life. Ive taken away YOUR power to be able to say whatever it is that you want to me, my family and my friends. Ive taken away that access you had to me, that i had given you so trustingly. So theres only one winner here. Me.”
She showed the best and the most effective way of cutting the direct source of insult and abuse on the social media platforms. Further, a part of her caption stated, “Your negativity has never served me or my life, which is why it literally took a snap of a finger to get rid of a following of 16 million people which ive garnered over the last ten years. Just like that. And im better off for it. I wish all those haters and trolls lots of love and healing, or you can continue with the hate but please know it’ll NEVER reach me.”
But apart from slamming the trolls, she also expressed her love for all those people who genuinely adore and admire her. Sonakshi proved that she is a ‘Not-giving-a-damn-girl.” This attitude came handy in handling such situations and we would just say, ‘More power to you girl’.
