Sofia Vergara becomes the highest paid actress in Forbes’ list, with Rs 315 crore earnings
According to Forbes’ list, Sofia Vergara is the highest-paid female actor in the world. She made $43 million in a one-year which is equal to Rs 315 crore. Angelina Jolie is second on the list with $35.5 million.
Angelina Jolie ($35.5 million), Gal Gadot ($31 million), Melissa McCarthy (25 million), Meryl Streep ($24 million), Emily Blunt ($22.5 million), Nicole Kidman ($22 million), Ellen Pompeo ($19 million), Elisabeth Moss ($16 million) and Viola Davis ($15.5 million) are included in the top 10 in the Forbes’ list.
According to Forbes, most parts of Vergara’s earnings came from Modern Family and America’s Got Talent. She padded them up by endorsement deals. She made approximately $500000 per episode for the show, while she made $10 million per season of America’s Got Talent.
Angelina Jolie earned most of her $35.5 million from her upcoming appearance in Marvel’s Eternals.
Last year’s number one, Scarlett Johansson, had this year made $56 million. Blunt is a newcomer on the list. This was because of a hefty payday for A Quiet Place: Part 2 and Disney’s upcoming Jungle Cruise film with Dwayne Johnson.
The top 10 highest-paid female actors made $254 million in total this year which is 20% down from last year.
The top 10 highest-paid male actors made $545 million. Dwayne Johnson topped the male list with $87.5 million. The men’s list included Ryan Reynolds, Mark Wahlberg, Ben Affleck, Vin Diesel, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Will Smith, Adam Sandler, and Jackie Chan. Akshay Kumar was the only Indian actor on the list.
