Siddharth Anand reveals the actual runtime of Fighter; refuses rumours that it is 3 hours long

The film Fighter stars Deepika Padukone as Minal Rathore and Hrithik Roshan as Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania.

Weeks before the movie’s premiere, director Siddharth Anand has made clear how long Fighter will last. His explanation coincides with reports that the movie lasts longer than three hours. Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan play the key parts in the film Fighter. Siddharth Anand wrote on X, “#Fighter run time rumours. Real run time is under 2 hours 40 minutes.”  The run time that was previously reported was three hours and ten minutes. Fighter, a film by Viacom18 Studios in collaboration with Marflix Pictures, promises heart-pounding action.


The official teaser for the movie was released recently, and fans responded well to it. In the one-minute and fourteen-second trailer, Anil plays Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh, nicknamed Rocky, while Hrithik plays Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, called Patty; Deepika plays Squadron Leader Minal Rathore, aka Minni.

In the teaser, the main actors performed some aerial stunts while soaring high in their jets. Hrithik unfurled a Tricolour from his airplane as the teaser concluded, with the song Vande Mataram playing in the background.

Real Sukhoi Indian fighter planes are used in the film, which was mainly filmed at Indian air bases. The movie opens in theatres on January 25, 2024. The movie also stars Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshay Oberoi. Siddharth and Hrithik have worked together on films like the 2019 blockbuster War and Bang Bang (2014). Siddharth and Deepika Padukone collaborated on the film Pathaan. Fighter is Deepika and Hrithik’s first on-screen partnership.
