Priyanka Chopra’s followers recently chastised a British television reporter for mispronouncing her name as “Chianca Chop Free” during a live broadcast.

In March, Andi Peters, a ‘Good Morning Britain’ host, visited Madame Tussauds in London to explore the statues on show. While anchors Adil Ray and Charlotte Hawkins were in the studio, Peters struggled to pronounce Chopra’s name.

Adil Ray quickly corrected him, emphasising Chopra’s reputation and significance as both an Indian Bollywood actress and a well-known American star. Peters then attempted to recover by referencing her marriage to one of the Jonas Brothers.

The video of this occurrence rapidly went viral, prompting criticism from Chopra’s supporters, who found the mispronunciation offensive. Many people believed it was not a simple mistake, but rather a premeditated act. Fans expressed their dismay and outrage, with several promising to cease supporting Peters.

On the professional front, Priyanka Chopra recently appeared in the romantic drama “Love Again” alongside Sam Heughan and Celine Dion. Her planned projects include the action-comedy “Heads of State” with Idris Elba and John Cena, as well as the film “The Bluff” directed by Frank E Flowers and starring Karl Urban.

Chopra is also working on a Bollywood film alongside Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif called “Jee Le Zara” directed by Farhan Akhtar. The film’s release has been postponed for undisclosed reasons.
