Shilpa Shetty shares benefits of breathing exercises on International Yoga Day

Actress Shilpa Shetty, on the occasion of International Yoga day, stated several benefits of breathing exercises.

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, has been known for her fitness and timeless beauty.

She posts videos and pictures on Instagram very frequently. In most of these posts we can see her practicing yoga. Recently, she has also started sharing her yoga videos and stating benefits of that particular yoga pose (asana).

On the International Yoga day, the actress shared a video on her Instagram handle, in which we can see her practicing breathing exercise. She stressed upon the importance of Bhramari Pranayama and also performed it. Stating the importance of breathing exercises, she wrote, “Happy World Yoga Day 🧘🏻‍♀️ 🧘🏻‍♂️ BREATHE… it’s THE most important function that the body performs. Breathing right helps provide oxygen to the organs to perform all the crucial processes, from cognition to digestion to strengthening the immune system. So, on World Yoga Day, let’s start by practicing the Bhramari Pranayama.”

The actress was seen wearing a blue t-shirt that read, ‘Breathe’.

Further explaining the benefits of Bhramari Pranayama, she wrote, “It helps generate up to 15% more nitric oxide through the vibrations of the humming sound, ‘Aum’. This, in turn, helps early recovery and healing from Covid-19.” She also motivated her fans and followers to practice this exercise. ” Spare a few minutes to focus on your breathing today with the Bhramari Pranayama. It relaxes the mind and lowers stress, while improving concentration and alleviating anxiety,” said Shilpa.

The Dhadkan actress, has been a motivation to her fans to start practicing Yoga. On the work front, Shilpa has been away from the big screen for a few years, but will be soon seen in the movie, ‘Hungama 2’, directed by Priyadarshan. The movie also stars Paresh Rawal and Meezaan Jafri.
