After this Shah Rukh did two movies which proved to be the turning point of his career. In 1993, Darr and Baazigar smashed the box office records and became cult pictures. Shah Rukh showed his darker shades and yet we fell in love with him. Then he opened his arms to embrace us forever by romanticizing Raj’s character, in the Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge , featuring Kajol. This movie made the record of longest running movie in single screen theatre for 25 years.
