Salman Khan to play Punjabi cop in Mahesh Majrekar’s Antim?

The director Mahesh is positively adamant about Salman playing a police officer in the film. However, he isn’t sure the look he should pull.

Salman Khan and director Mahesh Manjrekar have scheduled and planned everything down to the last detail. The duo is now ready to kickstart the shoot for Antim on 15th November. However, there remains one important detail that needs to be addressed: Salman’s looks. The director Mahesh is positively adamant about Salman playing a police officer in the film. Recently, Mid-Day quoted a trade source of the project saying, “… Salman wants to play a Punjabi police officer. He believes it will lend pan-India appeal to the film. Over the past few days, Salman and Mahesh have been brainstorming about his character. It has finally been decided that the actor will conduct a look test this weekend, during which he will flaunt a Maharashtrian avatar and a north Indian get-up, and accordingly zero in on his final look.”

Fans are avidly looking forward to seeing the solid casting of Salman Khan along with his brother-in-law, Aayush Sharma, hit the big screens soon. “The mahurat will happen at Mehboob Studios on Diwali, followed by a two-month schedule at ND Studios in Karjat. Salman will play a no-nonsense cop. Styled by Ashley Rebello and sister Alvira Agnihotri, the actor is likely to sport a French beard,” the source said.

Mahesh, who has previously co-starred with Salman as an actor, is excited about the reunion. “We plan to start shoot in the next 15 days. Salman and Aayush will have never-seen-before looks in the movie,” he says.
