Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s debut online series Heeramandi premiered in the city on Wednesday, and superstar Salman Khan was among the many celebrities that attended. While his entrance was enough to get everyone excited, it was his attire that stole the show.
Despite the recent shooting incident outside his residence, Salman attended the Heeramandi premiere and arrived amid tight security. The actor was seen at his casual best, despite the ethnic theme of the night and the show’s aesthetics.
Salman chose a loose black shirt and combined it with a wacky pair of trousers, which appear to be his favourites. His trousers featured various anime characters emblazoned on them, including those from the popular programme Dragon Ball Z.
Even his most loyal fans disapproved of his appearance this time, with some comparing him to Ranveer Singh, who is known for his jazzy wardrobe choices. “Bhai hai ya Ranveer Singh?” one person commented on a video of Salman, while another said, “Bhai chapri wali harkat achi nahi lagti.”
Some have even advised that the actor remove his stylist for choosing such looks for him.
Meanwhile, Salman’s participation at the Heeramandi premiere was even more memorable because it officially ended the speculations of a rift between the actor and his Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam director.
Rumours of a feud between the two originally circulated after the filmmaker’s movie Inshallah, which was set to star Salman and Alia Bhatt, was abruptly cancelled.
However, Salman’s attendance at the premiere of Heeramandi despite his life threat put an end to the rumours, and everything appears to be fine between the actor and the director.
