Esha Verma, stepdaughter of Rupali Ganguly, she has been served a defamation notice for “maligning” her character and personal life and has been asked to pay Rs. 50 crores. The legal notice was to counter what the actress stated as being lies made by Esha regarding her and her family. The lawyer of Rupali Sana Raees Khan has done this step to protect her from further bad reputation.
The notice to Esha says that the Anupama actress was shocked by the posts and comments by her on multiple social media platforms including X, Instagram, and Facebook. It further elaborates that the intention of the notice has been to inform the public regarding the actual facts of the situation.
“Our client states that she was shocked to see the posts and comments published by you on various social media platforms including Twitter (now X), Instagram, and Facebook. Our client states that it is apposite to put the true and correct facts leading to the issuance of the present notice,” the legal notice read.
Going through the document, one learns that Rupali had to seek medical help after getting traumatized by such statements and had to face humiliation on the set, which cost her professional opportunities. The notice further says that although the actress wanted to maintain silence as a dignity, she was compelled to take legal recourse as her husband Ashwin Verma’s 11-year-old son was dragged into the matter. She has also demanded a public apology to be done immediately and unconditionally, and has stated that failure to comply will result in further legal action.
