Rohit Saraf recalls first audition: I was so bad that the cameraman was laughing

Rohit Saraf remembered his ‘bad’ performance in his first audition for a Television commercial in Delhi. He was 15 years old at that time.

Actor Rohit Saraf recalled his first-ever audition which he gave at the age of 15 for a Television commercial. He said he was so bad that the cameraman burst into laughter.

In conversation with Netflix, the actor talked about his first audition in Delhi. He said, “They handed me the script, and it said that I had to jump off a wall, run around and cross a couple of hurdles. And I remember sitting in that tiny room, wondering, ‘Do they have another space where I will have to do the jumping around a bit?'”

After a while, he realized that he wouldn’t have to do any real stunts. “I was terrible at acting. I remember the cameraman laughing because I was so bad,” he added.

Rohit has learned a lot since then. “I was taught that you need to accept that you are bad at something, to get better at it. So, I don’t think there will ever be a day when I will take my work for granted, ” he said.

Rohit Saraf started his acting career with the 2012 teen drama, ‘Best Friends Forever?’ and made his Bollywood debut with Dear Zindagi in 2016. Later he was seen in movies like The Sky is Pink, Ludo, and a Netflix web series ‘Mismatched’. Rohit was recently seen in the short film Star Host, directed by Anand Tiwari. It was a part of the Netflix anthology, Feels like Ishq. Feels like Ishq is a romance-drama series with six different short stories. It also stars actors like Radhika Madan, Amol Parashar, Tanya Maniktala, and many others.
