Richa Chadha won a lawsuit against Payal Gosh for dragging her name inside a #MeToo allegation case. She clarified that her boyfriend’s suspicious silence was his way of giving her space and respecting her intellect.

Recently, Richa Chadha won a lawsuit against Payal Ghosh for dragging her name inside a #MeToo allegation case. She openly read an apology letter Payal wrote at the Bombay High Court which detailed the case on social media. Meanwhile, Richa’s boyfriend, Ali Fazal, who is also an actor, has been silent at court and on all social media platforms regarding the case. Richa clarified that his suspicious silence was his way of giving her space and respecting her intellect.

During an interview with Etimes, the Fukery actress, was quoted saying, “Ali and I barely spoke about the case, but I kept him updated. He was marked on several of my emails. We are in a lovely relationship, and we give each other space. There’s mutual respect, and of course, love and companionship. He didn’t need to jump to my rescue. I am capable of handling it on my own and I also had a sound legal team. Through this legal fight, and otherwise, he has always been supportive and been there for me. His support is a given.” The couple was supposed to get married early this year. However, with the looming COVID scare, they decided to put it on hold for the time being.

The dispute between the actresses began on 23rd September after Payal filed an FIR against the director, Anurag Kashyap, for sexually harassing her, and in doing so, included Richa’s name, which did not have good reception. Payal Ghosh agreed to apologize to Richa for her stunt, at court, but only under one condition. Richa had to swear she wouldn’t file a criminal case against Payal. Well, it looks like Richa kept her word and got Payal to apologize.
