Rhea Chakraborty interviewed Aamir Khan about career, family and acting in her new show, Chapter 2. During their conversation, Aamir revealed that Rhea was introduced to him during the screen test of Laal Singh Chaddha for which she had tried her screen test a couple of years back. Despite that, she did not get the part of acting for that film, Aamir had text message her complimenting her for doing a good job in the audition, but the role that ultimately went to Kareena Kapoor was what that sealed the deal.
In response, Rhea said, “You had sent me a message. Which I found very, very surprising because I have auditioned for thousands of films but it has never happened that when you are not getting the film when the producer, director or actor messages you” to apologise that they cannot go ahead with you.
Aamir then continued that he thinks if one is aspiring as an actor, they should at least be told that they did not get the role, which he once wished for himself.
Laal Singh Chaddha was a movie that was released in year 2022. It was a Hindi remake of Hollywood movie known as Forrest Gump. The movie failed to impress audience at the box office.
