Rekha hugs Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda at Raj Kapoor’s centenary celebration

On Friday night, the Kapoor family came together to celebrate the 100th birth anniversary of legendary actor Raj Kapoor. The family kickstarted a film festival, which shall go on till December 15, where 10 of the most memorable movies of Raj Kapoor will be showcased in different cities. To mark this occasion, a grand event took place yesterday, which was attended by Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, and all other family members associated with the Kapoors.

Other celebs from the industry also joined the celebration, which included Vicky Kaushal, Sharvari Wagh, Aditya Roy Kapur, Kartik Aaryan, Rekha, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, her son Agastya Nanda, and so on. With all the red carpet moments, one moment that grabbed the most attention was an interaction between Rekha and Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya.

The veteran star can be seen hugging the star kid and then very affectionately, she puts her hand on his cheek. Agastya, in turn, did a namaste to her after he hugged her.

While the Bachchans remained absent from the event, as they hardly interact with Kapoors since Abhishek Bachchan’s and Karisma’s engagement ended in splits. However, Shweta has always remained a part of Kapoor clan. Daughter of Sr. Bachchan, she is married to Nikhil Nanda, who is the son of Ritu Nanda, who happens to be daughter of Raj Kapoor.
