Rashmika Mandanna, the South Indian beauty also known as the National crush of India, seems to be spreading her wings toward the direction of the Hindi Film Industry.
The Pushpa fame actress has already appeared in a handful of Bollywood movies such as Mission Majnu alongside Siddharth Malhotra, Goodbye starring Amitabh Bachchan, and is confirmed to work on Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming action drama Animal.
According to the sources of Peepingmoon.com, the actress has now also added another project to her Bollywood collection. The 27-year-old actress is said to be confirmed for Anees Bazmee’s upcoming action-comedy movie alongside Shahid Kapoor.
After Prabhu Deva’s R…Rajkumar was released back in 2013, the upcoming project will be another opportunity for Shahid Kapoor to explore the action-comedy genre. According to the reports, Anees Bazmee is already done with the script and plot for the movie.
A source close to the untitled project told Peepingmoon.com that Rashmika Mandanna was the only choice from the very beginning. The source stated, “Rashmika was the ideal choice from the beginning. Both Ekta Kapoor and Dil Raju have worked with her in Goodbye and Varisu, respectively, and they believe she naturally fits the quirky character of the heroine in this film. Moreover, Shahid and Rashmika make for a fresh and captivating on-screen pair, generating more excitement amongst audiences,”
