Ranbir Kapoor reveals father Rishi Kapoor was a ‘Big Bully’ to directors on set

The actor further added that even Zoya Akhtar used to tell him that Rishi Kapoor was a big bully and would take over if you don’t stand up to him.

Ranbir Kapoor in a shocking interview revealed that his father and actor, late Rishi Kapoor used to be a Bully and that he would test his directors on the set. In the interview, the Bharamhastra actor talked about Rishi Kapoor trying to meddle with Agneepath’s director Karan Malhotra and also with Zoya Akhtar.
Ranbir talking about director Karan Malhotra said, “My father was a big bully and he is used to testing his directors. If he comes on too strong and the director doesn’t hold his own then he would take over. Thankfully, Karan is such a confident person that he always stood his ground.”
The actor further added that even Zoya Akhtar used to tell him that Rishi Kapoor was a big bully and would take over if you don’t stand up to him.
Rishi Kapoor appeared in Zoya Akhtar’s film Luck by Chance in 2009. While the late actor appeared in Karan Malhotra’s 2012 film Agneepath.
On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for Shamshera. The movie is set in the fictitious city of Kaza, where a warrior tribe is imprisoned, enslaved, and tortured by Shuddh Singh, a ruthless authoritarian general. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor and is set to be released on July 22.
