Ranbir Kapoor and Konkana Sen Sharma’s reunion rumours have been buzzing all over the internet. Ever since some clips and photos from their shoot location went viral, fans have been speculating reunion in a form of Wake Up Sid’s sequel.
However, now it has been known that they have collaborated on an ad campaign. Ranbir and Konkana reprise their role as Sid and Ayesha from Wake Up Sid for the ad campaign.
The ad is titled “Sid wakes up in Goa.” It begins with them moving to Goa, just like it happens in the movie. Sid shows Ayesha around Mumbai’s scenic beauty. When they start living together, Sid feels a bit uncomfortable about their move. Though, with the support of his friends and wife, he finds a way through.
Sid is also gifted with a phone by his father, which makes him more comfortable. One of the scenes showcases Konkana cooking a bread and jam cake for Ranbir. It happened the opposite way around in the film.
The new ad campaign is in collaboration with Oppo Phone and it celebrates the iconic journey of Aisha and Sid in Goa. It is association with the brand’s new OPPO Reno 11 series.
Though the ad has refreshed many such nostalgic memories, fans were highly anticipating a sequel to the beloved movie Wake Up Sid. Expressing their joy and enthusiasm, a user commented, “Nostalgia hits like a truck.” While another said, “Such a beautiful add.”
On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor was last seen in the blockbuster film Animal. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film starred Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Triptii Dimri in key roles. The film received an impressive profit at the box office and turned out to be the second-biggest hit of the year.
