Ranbir Kapoor felt Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Shahid Kapoor starrer Kabir Singh would be a FLOP! Here’s what we know

Sandeep Reddy Vanga is all set for the release of his upcoming directorial Animal. Starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna in key roles, the film revolves around an action-drama theme. Sandeep initially made his debut in Bollywood through the well-known ‘Kabir Singh’ movie. The film was originally remade from its South version i.e. Arjun Reddy. Vijay Deverakonda was the lead actor in it.

Now, the filmmaker is gearing up for Animal, which has garnered immense love worldwide. Ahead of its release, the makers released the trailer of the movie, spiking up the audience’s curiosity. The trailer launch was done in Delhi and the entire cast of Animal spotlighted the event with their presence.

While engaging in discussions with the fans and press, Ranbir Kapoor revealed he had thought that Kabir Singh wouldn’t do well at the box office. The Sanju actor stated, “I saw ‘Arjun Reddy’ before the announcement of ‘Kabir Singh,’ and I felt there could not be a better love story than this. Then Sandeep brought the same story with ‘Kabir Singh,’ and I challenged that it would not be a hit, as the performance, music, and charm that ‘Arjun Reddy’ had could not be recreated. But, he did it again,” as reported by Bombay Times.

Ranbir even expressed his views on working with Sandeep. He said it was a marvellous experience and also mentioned that Sandeep is an original writer and director.

The actor further added that he used to talk a lot with Sandeep about the movie’s script and how these things would have happened in the latter’s life. Otherwise, on what account would he get such brilliant ideas? Also, it has been inspiring to work with him. As he is a blessing for actors like Ranbir. Every actor is dying to work with such directors.

Animal is slated to release on the 1st of December. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in pivotal roles.
