Ramayana starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash to gear up production in the summer of 2024

Ranbir Kapoor told a fan about his next movie, Ramayana, during a recent encounter at the airport. He disclosed that the film’s production is expected to start in the summer of 2024.

Ramayana has become one of the most talked-about films in the Indian film industry in recent years. A 2020 interview with Pinkvilla revealed that producer Madhu Mantena had grand ambitions for a trilogy based on the Indian epic, Ramayana, with Nitesh Tiwari directing the film. The film’s creators have been working on it for a while and are getting ready to start shooting. The actor confirmed that the movie’s production is scheduled to start in the summer of 2024, according to a user on X (previously Twitter) who just met Ranbir Kapoor at the airport.

Through a series of tweets, a user on X recently described meeting Ranbir Kapoor at the airport. During their conversation, the actor talked about his next production, Ramayana, in which Yash will supposedly play Ravana and Sai Pallavi will play Sita Ma. In the first tweet, the user said, “Standing ahead of Ranbir Kapoor in the immigration queue and talking about #Animal + his next crazy project wasn’t something I’d signed up for this Bombay trip. And what a lovely guy!”

The user disclosed in another tweet, “Woah, this blew up! Everyone asked he said ‘Ramayana,’ goes on the floor in early summer. Not sure I should divulge anything more than that, but the star cast is frickin’ crazy… wow, #Bollywood is taking it to the next level starting 2023.”

The plan for Nitesh Tiwari and his team’s painstaking work to create the setting of the Ramayana is finished, as Pinkvilla reported. The Oscar-winning company DNEG has developed the VFX plates for production, ensuring an eye-catching visual experience that will capture viewers. The simplicity of the narrative and the gripping character emotions in the Ramayana, however, are what make it so powerful.

The story of Lord Ram and Sita will be the primary focus of the first part of the trilogy, which will conclude with the crucial battle of Sita Haran.
