Director Ram Gopal Varma has been keeping a low profile and the release of his upcoming film ‘D- Company’ has been postponed. But one can be assured that he is working on a lot of exciting projects. Now, he has revealed that he is interested to make a crime drama movie based on Sushant Singh Rajput’s death and the cases that followed in an exclusive interview with Times of India.
He also talked about adapting to the pandemic and why he seems to be absent from the movie world. He revealed that other than D- Company, he has two other films in his kitty.
One of them is an Indo-Chinese production martial arts film titled ‘Enter the Girl Dragon’. The other is a movie called ‘Demons’. He adds, “So, I have been active, it’s just that I have not been releasing any of them because of the Covid situation.”
He also finally talked about the tweet he made supporting Rhea Chakraborty after Sushant’s death. He believes that social media has become more like a circus, where people just make noise and then forget.
He has also defended actress Kangana Ranaut and said that whatever he posts on his social media are his opinions and he never bothers to read the comments.
When asked about making a life-based movie on Sushant Singh Rajput’s life and death, he said it might or might not happen. “It might, or it might not. There are so many things to choose from, on a relative level, for me, at least. I think I might even take it up,” he added.
