Rahul Bose, who worked with co-star Triptii Dimri on Bulbbul, says he had a lovely working relationship with her, when she was yet to become an established name in the industry before the acclaimed 2020 Netflix film. Anvitaa Dutt’s Bulbbul turned out to be a turning point in her life after the breakthrough of Laila Majnu in 2018.

Rahul spoke about working with Triptii during a chat show with Siddharth Kannan. He talked about the horrific and much-discussed sexual assault scene in the film. The actor said while filming the particular sequence, he had devised a safe word, “Rahul”, which Triptii would use anytime she felt the act was getting triggering for her.

“There is a difficult scene in which the twin brother rapes and kills her. She dies on the bed, it is horrible. While we were rehearsing the scene, I told her that her safe word is ‘Rahul’. Whether you have been assaulted or not, this is triggering… I told her once the camera starts rolling, I will become this beast, so if it triggers her, she should just say Rahul and I will stop and become like this (normal), don’t worry. She was so strong, centered, such a kind and talented person. We had a lovely relationship, it was always gentle, kind and fun. It was a pleasure working with her,” he added.

After the period horror, Triptii also starred in Qala, however, it was not until Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal, which shot her to fame. The actress will be next seen alongside Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
