Rahet Fateh Ali Khan pays tribute to the iconic Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala on his first death anniversary.

Pakistani qawali singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan during his show in the US pays tribute to Sidhu Moosewalaon his first death anniversary. The video of the qawali singer went viral from his Oakland, California concert.

Last year on May 29, 2022 Sidhu Moosewala tookingbhis last breathe after shot by six assailants at Jawahar Ke village in Punjab’s Mansa district. Sidhu was famous for his unique style and his  powerful lyrics that were mostly about guns and fights. Audiences across the globe really enjoyed it. The rapper cum singer enjoyed a huge fan following in India too. Some of his hits are The Last Ride, So High, Just Listen, 295 and Same Beef.

A video if the concert was shared on Instagram by Brut India. In the video, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is saying, “Yeh abhi jo qawwali pesh karne jaraha hoon main, yeh Sidhu Moosewala ko yaad Kate hoye karna chahunga”. Then he continued by singing “Akhiyan Udeek Diyan”.

When it comes to qawali, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is the name for both Pakistan and  India. Rahat Fateh Ali has lent his beautiful voice in many Bollywood songs such as Jiya dhadak dhadak, Dil toh Baccha Hain Ji, Bol na halke halke and Ishq Risk.

On Monday,  a candle march was held in Mansha in the memory of Sidhu Moosewala. Many fans and his song lovers gathered in Moosa village to walk in the candle march. They want “justice” for him. Sidhu’s mother Charan Kaur was also present.
