Priyanka Chopra recalls being mistreated on sets, ‘I was so scared”

Priyanka Chopra recently sat down with Oprah Winfrey for an intimate conversation on Oprah’s show Super Soul.

Priyanka Chopra’s latest interview with Oprah Winfrey on her award-winning show Super Soul has opened many incidents of her life. The interview came out just a few days after the shocking revelations made by the actress’s friend Meghan Markle and her husband Harry in a similar interview with Oprah. The international actress talked about many things, including the time a director mistreated her on film sets.

Now married to Nick Jonas, she talks about how she had to struggle during her initial days in India. She also revealed that during that time, she was asked to do a dance performance which made her uncomfortable. “I was told to have an opinion in a room that disagreed with me. I was always encouraged to have a voice,” she said, talking about her upbringing while also saying that she now regrets not confronting the director about the issue.

“I was so scared. I was new in the entertainment business and girls are always told that ‘you don’t want to get a reputation of being hard to work with.’ So I worked within the system,” The White Tiger actress added. Priyanka later quit the movie for good.
