Priyanka Chopra posts an emotional note regarding the Russia-Ukraine war

On February 24, Russia invaded Ukraine. Hundreds of people have died and thousands of homes have been destroyed in Ukraine as a result of the tension and confrontation between the two neighboring countries since then. On June 3, Ukraine observed 100 days of struggle against the invading Russian troops, and Priyanka Chopra, like many other celebrities, expressed her views on the suffering of the people.

Priyanka Chopra used her Instagram account to focus on the misery and distress of those who become refugees overnight as the protracted war passed 100 days. The well-known actor urged everyone to rally behind the cause, emphasizing the necessity of keeping children ‘safe amid conflict and COVID-19.’

Priyanka praised UNICEF’s charity cause ‘Support the children,’ in a heartwarming letter on her Instagram story. through which the global organization ensures that Ukraine’s children have access to safe water, nourishment, health care, education, and protection.
In her note, the global star also discussed how the continuing Russia-Ukraine conflict has resulted in a massive child protection crisis. She also mentioned how the war has resulted in  ‘one of the fastest large-scale displacements of children since World War II’.

She added, “As families do everything they can to keep children safe amid conflict and COVID-19, this is what UNICEF is doing to support children.”
