Priya Ahuja aka Rita Reporter slams Asit Kumar Modi and says, "Mujhe makkhi ki tarah Nikal ke phek diya"

Asit Kumarr Modi, the producer of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,’ has recently been in the news for all the wrong reasons. Several actors have come forward and opened up about their experiences, which have included everything from sexual harassment to unpaid bills.

Following Jennifer Mistry Baniswal and Monika Bhadoriya, Rita Reporter from the programme Priya Ahuja has now come out against Asit. In a recent interview, Priya disclosed that Asit Modi and his team’s demeanour altered as soon as she got married to the director, Malav Rajda.

Priya Ahuja, who as served for 14 years in the show, said that mental harassment has affected the show’s performers and that she too has experienced it in an interview with Etimes TV. However, it had little of an impact on her because her husband Malav, the show’s director, was making money.

Priya was quoted as saying, “As far work is concerned I’ve been subjected to unfair treatment. After I got married to Malav they reduced my track. It was no longer how it used to be. I’ve been clueless about my track in the show after pregnancy and when Malav left the show. I messaged Asit bhai so many times asking him about my track in the show but there has been no response. Sometimes he would comment “Arre tujhe kaam karne ki kya zarurat hai i Malav is working Na”. I’m an individual and I did not get his show before I got married to Malav. I was a part of this show before I got married.

She added, “Mujhe aap ne 9 months se show par nahi bulaya because your relationship with Malav ended and aapne uske baad mujhe makkhi ki tarah Nikal ke phek diya.”

After Jennifer Mistry Baniswal reported Asit to the police for allegedly harassing her in a sexual manner, former TMKOC star Priya opened up about her unpleasant working relationship with the producer. Monika Bhadoriya also reacted angrily to Asit and said that he had harassed and tormented her while she was working on the programme. The producer, however, issued a statement disputing Jennifer’s claims and threatening legal action against the star for disparaging him and his programme.
