POONAM PANDEY ‘NOT DEAD’, actor confirms via Instagram post – WATCH

On Friday, Poonam Pandey’s team issued a statement that she passed away from cervical cancer.

On Saturday, one day after it was declared that actress Poonam Pandey had died of cervical cancer, she uploaded a fresh video in which she stated that she is still alive. The entire ‘death news’ was a publicity stunt by the actress to promote cervical cancer vaccinations. On Saturday noon, Poonam took to Instagram to share a video, along with a letter explaining that, while cervical cancer did not kill her, the disease has taken many other lives, and she wanted to use her platform to raise awareness about it.

“I feel compelled to share something significant with you all—I am here, alive. Cervical cancer didn’t claim me, but tragically, it has claimed the lives of thousands of women who stemmed from a lack of knowledge on how to tackle this disease,” she wrote.

She went on to say, “Unlike some other cancers, cervical cancer is entirely preventable. The key lies in the HPV vaccine and early detection tests. We have the means to ensure no one loses their life to this disease. Let’s empower one another with critical awareness and ensure every woman is informed about the steps to take,” she added.

Take a look at the Instagram post:

As soon as Poonam shared the video and revealed that she was, indeed, alive, netizens slammed her for using her death as a publicity stunt. “This was the most ridiculous way to promote something,” a user commented, while another wrote, “Next time people won’t take you seriously, you just destroyed your entire credibility.”

When word of Poonam’s death broke on the internet, various celebrities expressed their condolences and remembered their happy times with her. Kangana Ranaut, Munawar Faruqui, Pooja Bhatt, and others were spotted sending meaningful sentiments to the actress.

On the other hand, some on the internet believed it was merely another PR stunt by the actress, and it turns out they were right.

Poonam’s publicist surprised netizens yesterday morning by stating she had died of cervical cancer. Her management verified the news that she had died from cervical cancer.

However, this morning she shared a video verifying that she is safe and well. This was only to start discussions about a dangerous disease that kills millions of people each year.

The model also uploaded a story on her Instagram account, informing followers that she will go live at 1 p.m. today.
