In the letter written by Swamy, he alleged that Sushant’s death has some kind of link with Bollywood biggies and few underworld dons who are currently residing in Dubai. He said that these names are involved in covering up the case by concluding a ‘voluntary suicide’ in Sushant’s death.

He further expressed that since Mumbai Police are already busy and battling with the current situation in the city due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it would be better if CBI takes over this case. He also added that the police might face some obstacles while investigating the case because some bigwigs of the Maharashtra state government share the same views as that of B-town celebs.

Hence, he concluded his letter by requesting the Prime Minister to advise the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray to hand over the case to the CBI. With the PM’s request, the CM will agree to the preposition and will take necessary actions.

Earlier today, on July 25, Dr Subramanian Swamy announced that he received an acknowledgement letter regarding the case from the PM.  Dated July 20, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s letter stated that, “I have received your letter of July 15, 2020.”
