The Kapoor family is looking forward to celebrate the 100th birth anniversary of legendary actor Raj Kapoor. They even met the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and invited him for the celebration. A few videos and pictures from their meeting has emerged online, and is going viral ever since.
One of the videos showed the whole Kapoor clan posing for the camera with the PM, and Karisma Kapoor says, ‘look m really nervous’, to which PM Modi teases them and said, “Kya aap log camera ke saamne nai hote nervous.” Hearing this everyone chuckled.
PM Modi met Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Neetu Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Babita Kapoor, and other Kapoor family members at his residence in New Delhi.
Earlier in the day, Kareena, Alia, and Karisma shared pictures from their meeting with PM Modi. The Laal Singh Chadha actress shared a photo of PM Modi’s autograph, which she got as a special souvenir for her sons – Taimur Ali Khan and Jeh.
Alia also shared few photos from the meeting with caption, “Art is timeless. And sometimes to move forward, we must look back and learn. Mr. Raj Kapoor’s impact was truly global. He marked his footprint all across the world with the movies he made, the stories he told. Yesterday was such an honour to be invited by our respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, to spend a lovely afternoon commemorating the life and legend of Mr. Raj Kapoor.”
