“Please let the law take its own course” : Shipla Shetty on Raj Kundra’s case

Shilpa Shetty silenced the trolls saying, “Please let the law take its own course” after her family faced backlash on social media since Raj Kundra’s arrest.

Shilpa and her family faced severe criticism after Raj Kundra was arrested on 19 July for producing porn content. Since then, the trolls have been severely attacking Raj, Shilp and her family. There are memes, jokes and sarcasm all around the social media about the case. It was reported that Shilpa even shouted at Raj for running the reputation of the family. Silencing the trolls she wrote on Instagram, “My statement Yes! The past few days have been challenging, on every front. There have been a lot of rumours and accusations. A lot of unwarranted aspersions on me cast by the media and (not so) well-wishers as well. A lot of trolling/questions posed… not only to me but also to my family. MY STAND… I HAVE NOT COMMENTED YET and will continue to refrain from doing so on this case as it is subjudice, so please stop attributing false quotes on my behalf. ”

She went on to add, “Reiterating my philosophy of, as a celebrity “Never complain, never explain”. All I will say is, as it’s an on-going investigation, I have full faith in the Mumbai Police & the Indian judiciary. As a family, we are taking recourse to all our available legal remedies.” She ended the post with, “We don’t deserve a media trial. Please let the law take its own course. Satyamev Jayate! With Positivity and Gratitude, Shilpa Shetty Kundra.”

The controversy about the case, made Shilpa feel insecure about her latest movie, Hungama 2 alongside Meezaan Jaffrey. Therefore, before the release, she said, “The film shouldn’t suffer”.
