Pathaan is particularly special for Shah Rukh Khan because it was his big-ticket comeback to acting and also marked his entry into the mainstream YRF Spy Universe. Earlier, first to break the news that a sequel is being made, Pinkvilla now has confirmed that Abbas Tyrewala, who acted as a writer for the first part, has revealed that script of Pathaan 2 is dialogue-ready.
In a recent episode of podcast Cyrus Says, Pathaan writer said, “Pathaan 2 is scheduled. I believe the script is almost ready for dialogue. Hopefully, it will be offered to me; I hope so.”
Earlier in February 2024, Pinkvilla exclusively confirmed that SRK and Aditya Chopra have decided to turn Pathaan into a standalone franchise of the YRF Spy Universe. As per the source, Pathaan 2 will set up things for bigger conflicts in the future timeline of the universe.
Meanwhile, on the work front, SRK will be next seen in King, wherein he will share screen space with daughter Suhana Khan.
The film’s first schedule of King is going to kick-start in Mumbai from January 2025. The Marathon schedule to follow in Europe. The makers are presently targeting an Eid 2026 release, after aiming to shoot the film up till next August or September.
