Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra and her husband, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha, were photographed together in Mumbai on Friday, seeking blessings at the city’s revered Siddivinayak temple. Their travel to Mumbai coincides with allegations that Raghav underwent eye surgery in the UK.
Parineeti and Raghav were seen in public for the first time in more than two months.
Parineeti looked stunning in an off-white salwar suit, while Raghav wore a plain white kurta pyjama set. The two were spotted welcoming paparazzi with folded hands as they entered and exited the shrine. The AAP MP was seen wearing thick shades to disguise his eyes.
Raghav also protected his wife from the crowds who had gathered outside the temple to catch a peek of the duo.
Raghav’s absence from India before the Lok Sabha elections aroused some suspicions, but an AAP minister confirmed that he had flew out to the UK to cure a serious eye disease that may have resulted in blindness.
Parineeti and Raghav married in a lavish ceremony on September 24, 2024. The wedding was attended by the country’s most prominent figures, including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Sania Mirza, and Harbhajan Singh, among others.
Speaking of Parineeti, the actress is now enjoying the popularity of her film, Chamkila, which was released on Netflix in April. Diljit Dosanjh portrayed the title role, with Parineeti playing his wife, Amarjyot Kaur.
The actress was praised for her nuanced portrayal in the film, and she thanked the audience for welcoming her back to cinema after a long absence.
