Not Shraddha Kapoor, Nushrat Bharucha to play the lead in ‘Aadai’ remake for THIS reason

The Hindi remake of ‘Aadai’ was reportedly offered to Shraddha Kapoor first but things didn’t work out and now, Nushrat Bharucha has been roped in to play the lead.

The Tamil film ‘Aadai’ which with its riveting performances, took the moviegoers by a surprise, was recently declared to being adapted into a Hindi movie. Amala Paul, who played the lead role, impressed everyone with her bold and intense acting. Now, according to a report by Pinkvilla, the makers have found an actor to fill the shoes of Amala Paul and it’s none other than Nushrat Bharucha of ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ fame.

The report further talked about how the makers wanted someone who is bold and will be up to take the risk. Shraddha Kapoor was approached first but it didn’t work out. Now, Nushrat Bharucha who has liked the script has been offered the role. The report said “What needs to be seen is how the team plans to shoot and execute it since it’s a very tricky space to be in. The makers wanted a performer who can play the vivacious and the vulnerable with equal aplomb and Nushrat fit their bill. But she is yet to sign on the dotted line because the modalities are currently being discussed.”
