Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s wife, Aaliya Siddiqui, appeared in front of the Court to record a statement against the actor after accusing him of rape and cheating.

A few months ago, wife of actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Aaliya Siddiqui, has filed a divorce against the actor after alleging him of rape and cheating. The ‘Serious Men’ actor has not spoken about the matter so far however, Aaliya has been reported to approach the court to record her statement. According to the reports by PTI, Aaliya has said in her statement that the Nawaz’s brother, Shamas Siddiqui, had molested a family member in the year 2012. The report also stated that Aaliya has appeared before the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) court to record her statement under section 164 of the CrPC against Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his four family members, as said by Circle Officer Girija Shankar Tripathi.

Nawaz’s brother, Saifuddin Siddiqui, has alleged Aaliya of blackmailing and trying to withdraw money from the actor. However, it was reported earlier that Aaliya’s lawyer has also issued a statement saying that her client has registered a detailed written complaint in the Versova Police Station for which stated a complaint of ‘Rape, Cheating and Deceitfully under sections 375, 376 (k), 376 (n), 420 and 493 of the Indian Penal Code against Mr Nawazuddin Siddiqui.’ After these allegations, Shamas Siddiqui has declined all the allegations via his Twitter account.

Earlier, Aaliya spoke about the allegations on her husband in an interview with PinkVilla in which she mentioned that when she was pregnant with her first child, Nawaz used to have women over his residence. In the interview, she was qouted saying, “When I was pregnant, I had to drive all by myself for check-ups. My doctor used to tell me that I’m mad and I’m the first lady who’s come alone for delivery. My labour pain started and Nawaz and his parents were there. But when I was in pain, my husband is not with me. He was talking to his girlfriend on calls. I knew everything because there used to be itemised statement of phone bills.”
