Nana Patekar breaks silence over MeToo allegations by Tanushree Dutta after more than 6 years

Tanushree Dutta, in 2018, had made it to the headlines when she accused veteran actor Nana Patekar of sexual harassment, during MeToo movement. Following her allegations, an FIR was filed against Nana.

However, the case was closed within a year due to lack of substantial evidence and witnesses to support Tanushree’s claim.

Recently, Nana opened up about the allegations against him and stated that he always knew those allegations were false, which is why he never got angry over it.

Tanushree had claimed that the song for the 2008 movie Horn Ok Pleassss was meant to feature her alone. Despite of this, Nana was present at the set and allegedly tried to get physically close to her on the pretext of teaching under dance steps. The actress had claimed that the incident had left her feeling uncomfortable and unsafe.

In a conversation with The Lallantop, Nana firmly denied the allegations saying, “I knew it was all false. So, I didn’t get angry. When everything was a lie, why would I be angry? And those things are old now, they have already happened. Why talk about them?”
