Nagarjuna lodges official complaint against minster Konda Surekha for remarks over son Naga Chaitanya-Samantha Prabhu divorce

Naga Chaitanya addressed the row that was sparked by Telangana minister Konda Surekha on Thursday evening. His father Nagarjuna Akkineni has lodged an official complaint against her after she called Naga ‘a bad husband’, and also made crude comments about his ex-wife Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

Naga has shared a scanned picture of the letter sent to court with Nagarjuna mentioned as the complainant and Konda Surekha as the accused. He did not caption the post.

Konda Surekha, a Telangana minister, made a remark linking the splitting up of actors Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabu’s divorce to Bharat Rashtra Samiti Working President KT Rama Rao. KT Rama Rao used to tap the phones of the actresses and blackmail Surkeha, she alleged.

“It is KT Rama Rao because of whom (actress) Samantha’s divorce happened… He was a minister at that time and used to tap the phones of the actresses and then find their weaknesses to blackmail them… He used to make them drug addicts and then do this… Everyone knows this, Samantha, Naga Chaitanya, his family–everybody is aware that such a thing happened,” she had said.

However, she did later retract her words saying that her remarks were made to question the “leader’s belittling of women” and not to hurt sentiments of Samantha.

Samantha took to Instagram on Wednesday evening to post a statement detailing that her divorce was ‘mutual consent and amicable’ and that the divorce was not a result of some political plot. Additionally, she asked that people cease to speculate on her divorce.
