The ‘Om Shanti Om’ actress Deepika Padukone has collaborated with Vyjayanthi Movies production house for an upcoming film that will be directed by Nag Ashwin. The actress will be playing the main lead against the South Indian ‘Bahubali’ actor Prabhas.
As per the sources, Vyjayanthi Movies wrote, “Through the years, we have had the privilege to work with some extraordinary women. Now with pride, we welcome Deepika Padukone with Prabhas. Bringing together India’s biggest superstars”, as a heartfelt greeting to the Bollywood diva.

As a tribute, the video mentions the names of some of the eminent Bollywood women actresses that have worked with Vyjayanthi Movies in the past such as – Sridevi, Jayaprada, Aishwarya Rai, Rani Mukherjee, Suhasini, Vijayashanti, Jayasudha, Trisha, etc.

Post announcement Nag Ashwin tweeted in his native language, ‘King ki saripadentha Queen kavali kada mari…chaala alochinchi teesukunna decision idi…pichekkicheddam..’, that translates as – “We need a Queen to match the King. This was a decision taken after a lot of thought. Let’s create madness.”
