Mumbai police books local politician Mallikarjun Pujari and female model for extortion threat to Bhushan Kumar

The police have lodged Mallikarjun Pujari and the 30-years-old woman who accused Bhushan Kumar in alleged a rape case, under sections 386 (extortion by putting a person in fear of death or grievous hurt), 500 (defamation) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).


Bollywood producer Bhushan Kumar, was earlier accused of alleged rape case. On Friday, an extortion case was filed at a Amboli police station, against a man who was trying to extort money from the ‘T-series’ directing manager.

Recently, It was reported by ANI, a local politician of Thane district, Mallikarjun Pujari, had united with a female model to extort money from Bhushan Kumar. In July 2021, Mallikarjun Pujari had approached Bhushan Kumar and bade extortion money and threatened that if the particular amount is not delivered to him then one girl will register a false complaint against him under sexual harassment. Later, T-Series reached to the Mumbai police and registered a written complaint against the local politician Mallikarjun Pujari in Amboli police station on 1st July 2021.

Mr Krishan Kumar did not approve to this extortion and said that Bhushan Kumar and T-Series will never lean down to such fraud extortion charges and came back but could manage to record the discussion with Mallikarjun Pujari wherein he can be noticed trying to blackmail them and extort money by giving the same reasoning. Based on this evidence, the Amboli police officers instantly functioned and filed an FIR no.574, on 16th July 2021 against both Mallikarjun and the girl and booked them under sections 386, 500, 506 and 506(2) who has conspired to file false rape charges against Mr Bhushan Kumar.
