Mukesh Khanna, known for his iconic role as Shaktimaa, was recently snapped in his superhero as she announced his comeback as Shaktimaan. The development comes amidst the news of 90s television show being made into a film and rumors were Ranveer Singh will be casted as the new Shaktimaan in the movie.
The idea of Ranveer playing Shaktimaan in the movie was opposed by Mukesh, and actress Vaibhavi McDonald, who played the role of Geeta Biswas on the show, had said the same in the interview.
In an interaction with ANI, the veteran actor said, “This is a costume within me… I did well in Shaktimaan because it came from within me… I am even happier than the other about becoming Shaktimaan again… I think my work should reach the public in 2027 because today’s generation is running blindly. They have to be stopped and told to catch their breath.”
However, it seems that the 90s kids aren’t too happy with it, as they think it is time for him to move on from the character and allow someone else to step in.
One of the users wrote, “Dude is stuck in the past. Someone should speak sense to him.” Another wrote, “Don’t ruin Shaktimaan pls, don’t do it.”
