Manoj Bajpayee opens up about Anurag Kashyap rejecting to direct ‘Shool’

The movie ‘Shool’ featuring Manoj Bajpayee and Raveena Tandon is a action- crime drama released in the year 1999. Till date this movie is considered as one of the best movies in Manoj Bajpayee’s character. The movie was directed by Eeshwar Vishwas and the script was written by Anurag Kashyap and he was supposed to direct the movie but things didn’t go as per the plan. As Anurag Kashyap rejected the opportunity it was to Eshawar Vishwas.

Recently Manoj Bajpayee was present to attend an interview for his most recent movie ‘Sirf Ek Bandaa’ where he opened up about the incident about Anurag Kashyap rejecting to direct the movie ‘Shool’. As it’s known that Manoj Bajpayee and Anurag Kashyap shares amicable bond. Referring to the same Manoj called him ‘mad’ and ‘eccentric’ for rejecting such promising opportunity. He further added saying it’s difficult to find a man more unusual than Anurag Kashyap. Anurag is stubborn but more than being stubborn he is a mad man.

While Manjo Bajpayee was asked the behind behind such action he said as Anurag has written the movie he could have easily directed the movie but at that time he had another movie titled ‘Paanch’ to work for and he was really interested to do the movie.
