Kerala Film Industry bans actors Shane Nigam and Sreenath Bhasi for inappropriate behaviour

The Malayalam actors Shane Nigam and Sreenath Bhasi have been banned by the Kerala Film Producers and Association for Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) for coming to the shooting sets under the influence of drugs. Both actors will not be allowed to take on any projects in the future, but they will have to accomplish the already-signed assignments.

The recognized film producer, M Renjith said in a recent press conference that both the actors used to enter the shooting site while intoxicated by drugs and also used to attend certain interviews regarding the films under the impact of drugs.

A meeting was organized by FEFKA, Film Producers’ Association and the Association for the Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) concerning the same issue. Sreedhar Pillai, a well-known politician shared the news on Twitter  writing, “Malayalam film industry associations – #FEFKA, #KeralaFilmProducers & #Amma jointly decided to ban popular actors #ShaneNigam & #SreenathBhasi from forthcoming films due to constant “bad behaviour and trouble on the sets (sic).”

Shane Nigam was also in the news for the recent controversary that happened when he walked out of the sets of his upcoming movie RDX. The shooting of the film was almost done and now the shoot for the film has resumed due to the ban. In 2022, Sreenath Bhasi was arrested for abusing a female anchor and it was also reported that he under the influence of drugs.

As per sources, AMMA’s general secretary Edavela Babu made a recent statement that they would give a list of actors to the Kerala Government, who work while being intoxicated by drugs.
