Kaun Banega Crorepati 13: Big B plays with Kalpana Singh, a principal, he discusses her granddaughter Aaradhya’s online classes with her

Today’s episode of the famous quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati welcomed the contestant Kalpana Singh for the game. Amitabh Bachchan congratulated Happy Teacher’s Day to all the teachers and dedicated this episode to them. Coincidentally Kalapana Singh happened to be the principal of Delhi Public School.

It was the day of 6th September, a day after Teacher’s Day when we celebrated the importance of teachers in our lives. In the 6th September episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 13, the host Amitabh Bachchan announced this week of the show to be dedicated to the teachers. He also wished a happy teachers day to all the teachers across the nation. And coincidentally today’s contestant was Kalpana Singh, who was also a teacher by profession, in fact, she was the principal of Delhi Public School.

Amitabh welcomed her on the show and in his typical baritone began the game. During the show, in a conversation, Kalpana talked about her profession of teaching that she loves teaching and according to her it is the most important profession. Kalpana also gifted Amitabh Bachchan a portrait of his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan which was made with a ‘Resham’ pen.

She feels that teaching is the centre profession around which all other professions revolve because teaching makes other professions. Be it a lawyer, doctor or engineer, a teacher has turned a student in any of the following. During the game, Amitabh also talked about the recent advent of online classed due to the pandemic. He talked about her granddaughter, Aaradhya’s online classes and how he saw her performing yoga in front of the screen.

He said, “Even I have a little one at home attending online class. The mother and father ‘sahyogi bane rehte hai.’ They teach her how to use a computer, PPT. I once attended it too and saw her doing yoga in front of the screen and I was surprised. There’s a great environment created and the respect that they (students) give their teachers is amazing.”
