What are WhatsApp Channels?

WhatsApp Channels are a one-way broadcast means that provide a private way for people and organisations to receive updates directly within WhatsApp. WhatsApp’s goal with Channels is to create the most private broadcast service accessible. Channels are distinct from conversations, and who you select to follow is hidden from other followers.

Channels can be found on a new tab named ‘Updates,’ which also contains the Status and the channels you have chosen to follow.
