Katrina Kaif gets her first superhero film in Bollywood with the director Ali Abbas Zafar, the news of this movie has created a buzz all over the world. It has been speculated that the movie will be released on Netflix and the budget has been finalised which is supposed to be 200 crores.
Katrina’s superhero film will be having two parts. Believing the reports which are ahead of us then Ali Abbas Zafar might have acquired about 85 crores for the first instalment of the franchise.
According to the report in Bollywood Hungama, a source said, “It’s a massive film mounted on a never seen before scale for a female protagonist. Ali was very keen on making it as a feature film for the big screen, but he wasn’t able to raise the funds that were needed, following which he decided to go the OTT way. The filmmaker is of the belief that his next will be a game-changer of sorts for the genre and will pave way for many more women-centric action films in Bollywood.”
The ‘EK Tha Tiger’ actress is prepping up for the superhero role while being in-home quarantine in every way possible. This movie is going to have two parts. The budget of the second instalment will be decided by Netflix based on the response of the first part.
The source said, “The budget of part two will be decided based on how part one of the superhero film fares. But the idea is to go a notch higher as the story moves forward and take a stride in budget too, going above Rs. 100 crore, taking the net-worth of Katrina’s film close to Rs 200 crore.” The film’s shooting will commence as soon as the pandemic is over.
