Kartik Aryan and Triptii Dimri have been roped in for the upcoming third instalment of Aashiqui. Kartik, who has already been locked in by the makers for the film was earlier set to collaborate with Sara Ali Khan. However, there was no official confirmation. Recently, it was announced that Triptii Dimri will be playing the female lead in the movie.
Triptii, who rose to fame from her presence in Animal has won her audience’s hearts. Highly recognized as Bhabhi 2, the actress gained immense popularity after her cameo appearance in Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal.
According to recent updates, Aashiqui 2 is now titled ‘Tu Aashiqui Hai and will be based on the 1981 film Basera. The classic film starred Rekha, Shashi Kapoor, and Rakhee in the lead. The upcoming romance drama will go on floors in the latter half of 2024. Kartik and Triptii will be playing the lead roles in the movie. However, the makers have yet to cast one more female actress in the movie.
Aashiqui 3 will be directed by Anurag Basu and produced by Bhushan Kumar. The film is slated to release next year. The first instalment of Aashiqui was released in the year 1990 and Aashiqui 2 was released in 2013. Both the films did wonders at the box office and were highly appreciated by the audience.
Aashiqui 3 will indeed surprise the audience with the mixture of love, loss and betrayal. Fans will get to witness Kartik and Triptii’s steaming on-screen chemistry and it will be a distinct cinematic experience.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kartik Aaryan is currently gearing up for his upcoming film Chandu Champion. The film is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Kabir Khan. It is slated to release on the 14th of June, 2024.
He will also be coming on board for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Recently, the actor shared the news with his fans. He updated a joint Instagram post with Vidya Balan, who will also be venturing into the project. The movie will be released around Diwali 2024.
