
November is nearing its end and that means one of India’s biggest film festival is knocking at the door.
This year will mark the 54th edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI). Like always, the festival will be held in Goa from the 20th of November to the 28th of November. Before its inauguration, fans are eagerly waiting for the event to commence its cinematic magic.
As reported by Bollywood Hungama, Karan Johar and Sara Ali Khan will be revealing the first look of ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan.’
On the 21st of November, filmmaker Karan Johar will be unveiling the poster of his upcoming film along with other cast members. The film is directed by Kannan Iyer and will premiere on Amazon Prime Video.
Ae Watan Mere Watan is a periodical starring Sara Ali Khan in the lead. The actress will be playing the part of Usha Mehta, who started an underground radio channel called Congress Radio. The radio station ceased to exist for a few months but had a greater impact during the Quit India movement in 1942. The radio service played a huge factor in disseminating unfiltered information to the masses which was banned by the British government.
On the 21st of November, Farrey film will also be premiered in IFFI. Salman Khan will be present along with the entire cast of the upcoming movie, which will have a global release on the 24th of November.
Other unreleased films will also premiere during the festival such as Pankaj Tripathi starrer Kadak Singh, Radhika Madan lead Sanaa, Nawazuddin Siqqidui starrer Rautu Ki Beli so on and so forth.
Celebrities such as Rani Mukerji, Manoj Bajpayee, Sunny Deol, Vidya Balan, Babil Khan, R Madhavan, Boney Kapoor, Dolly Ahluwalia, Raj & DK, etc. will feature in the master class special session. Michael Douglas will be awarded the Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award.
